Beer friends come in all shapes and sizes, and great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget. This was the case for us when one of our brew team shifted home after Covid. James moved back to England and soon found himself working for Bristol brewing legends, Wiper and True. We'll never forget James's time with the team, so when he started the conversation to do an international pen pal collaboration brew, we jumped at the chance.
Working together to amp up one of Wiper & True's favourite pale ale recipes. We proudly present Kiwi Lilt XL, a New Zealand IPA loaded with this country's finest hops. Nectaron leads the charge, bringing bold, bright flavours of ripe mango and pineapple. This is complemented by the bright, herbal white wine notes from Nelson Sauvin, sprinkled with a touch of Motueka for a zesty lime pizzazz. This colossal hop bill is balanced by a malt base loaded with oats, wheat, and a touch of Munich barley, for a golden orange, thick, juicy, but very drinkable finish.
